OUR FIRST BIG DAY

We are here!! Yes! We feel so blessed to finally be on our way. We had a most excellent first day. When we sang Called To Serve it finally hit me that this was really happening. We will be very busy for the time we are here and I am not sure we will be posting very much.

Our day starts at 6 am and doesn't end till 9pm. Lots of instructions and meetings. There are 2000 missionaries here. It is very orderly and clean. And the spirit is so strong. Now where in the world would you find a spiritual place at the same time there are 2000 19 year old young men? And they are kind and very considerate of us old people too! Holding doors, letting us go to the front of the line.

Till Latter!!

Mom's first attempt at blogging

Hi Family,
We are sitting here in Lehi and Cami is insisting that we learn to use this blog that Lauralee set up for us and we didn't even know how to access it. Hee Hee. Yeah, I think I can do this. The kids are all upstairs playing together well---that means no one is crying right now. And we just had JP Getty's Carrot Cake which was Cami's birthday cake. She will be 38 in a few days.
We are excited and ready for the new experiences we have ahead of us. Last night as I was lying in bed waiting for sleep to come I wondered what would happen if we changed our minds. WE CAN'T!! Because we don't have anyplaced to live now so we have to forge ahead. And that's OK. I'm ready.

Love you all, Mom

Here we are in Utah. We will be entering the MTC in 14 hours. We just had our last supper at Cami's home with Anna's family also. We are anxious to get going in the real world of missionaries.
Really this is a practice post.
